WWOOF

I finally found a mutually agreeable WWOOFing opportunity in India.  The man I met is Atul Jain who is a very kind and respectable man.  I will be working with the Panchvati Foundation Goshala, in a remote village in the state of Madhya Pradesh.  You can wiki goshalas but they are basically a protective shelter for cows, particularly "neglected" cows.  I am very excited to be able to care for them, milk them and maybe learn how to make cheese and curd.  I'm leaving tonight to go to follow Atul to Bhopal, the capital in Madhya Pradesh and then to Gotitoria, Gadarwara, Narsinghpur in a couple of days. I think I will be living with one of the families which I think will be a fun and great learning experience. I doubt I'll have much chance of contacting out of the village since we only get 9 hrs of electricity during the day, at most. My only concern is the temperature but I bought some warmer clothes and a blanket so I hope I can toughen up for once. I'm excited to get cut off from the world and I hope to find some peace and quiet.  I'll be there until early Feb so I'll check back in then with pictures! Should be fun! Wish me luck!
